How Article Rewriting can Help Your Article Marketing Efforts

By: Gen Wright

When an article is written and submitted to an article directory, it usually gets published within a week or two. Once the article is live on the site, there are three ways that someone will find the article.

The first way is repeat visitors from the article directory itself. Established sites often have people coming back for more content. They may belong to the email list of the site, and coming back to the sites to read an interesting article.

The second way for people to find the article is through a site's RSS feed. RSS feed has become a popular way to syndicate content. The reader chooses the information source, and uses a software like a feed reader to organize these sources and get immediate updates from his or her favorite sources. Websites are also able to display content from the RSS feeds of the article directories. Therefore, there is a good chance that the article can be found on other websites as well if its published on established sites.

And finally, the most well known way for a visitor to find an article is through the search engines. Once the article has been published, it'll be indexed by the major search engines. Visitors searching for the keywords related to your article will find your article. They visit the article directories, read your article, and have a chance to click through to see what the author has to offer.

Here's where rewritten articles come in handy. Visitors find the articles in search engines by typing in certain keywords. For instance, the visitor may type "green apples for sale" and the article appears in the results. But what if someone, who is also interested in buying green apples, types in "buy green apples retail shops". What happens? The same article, with the same title and body text may not show up. So if there's a rewritten article with a different title, there's a better chance that more people will find the article.

Understanding that, the best thing to do is to rewrite articles, use different titles and submit the rewritten (but still unique) articles. You can say the same messages in the articles but say it differently. Remember, the key is to use different words in your article title and body so that people searching using the different keywords can find your articles.

Besides, rewriting articles is often less time consuming but can help you achieve the same results. Do not, however, make the mistake of spinning different versions of the same article using software. Such software usually randomly replaces words and rearrange sentences in a way that distort the original meaning in the article. Use macros if you have to but stay away from tools that promise spinning your article to a hundred different versions.
