Learning how to invest in penny stocks can be a difficult process. There can be a big investment in time getting comfortable with conducting technical and fundamental analysis on a daily basis. You can limit your risk and quickly find good penny stocks by using one of the sources of information on which stocks are being promoted.Typically, when investing in penny stocks, an investor will scour all publicly available information. This information may be in the form of stock filings such as an annual report or 10K. They may monitor the newswires for articles or press releases concerning the activities or events of the company. They may even analyze industry information to determine what the future prospects look like for the company. Sounds like a big time investment and a lot of trouble, doesn’t it? Well, it is. And decisions made on this information can be pretty speculative. There is another source of information to monitor that is fundamentally different from the method described above. This has to do with something called a stock promotion. This is basically a marketing and advertising campaign that a company undertakes to raise the awareness of their stock, and why it is a good penny stock to invest in. If you know that a company is engaging in a stock promotion, then you know more investors will learn about the stock and demand will likely go up – along with the stock price! Now this information is not secret, but it is not usually made publicly available either. Rarely do you read in the press about a company’s marketing programs, it is simply not considered newsworthy. But it is important information for investing in penny stocks. That is because more than 70% of all stocks that double in price in a short period of time do so because they are being promoted. Having good penny stock information on this subject can be a real time saver. Not only do you not have to scour all available information sources for news that may, or may not, affect the penny stock price. Stock promotions are events that are directly targeted on that one stock. And they have the goal or driving the stock price up. If you are going to invest in penny stocks, this can be a good approach. This information is available, usually through a penny stock newsletter, published by experts close to these activities.
