These small vouchers or codes the can be used online and offline might seem like a god send, but are they really all they are cracked up to be? These free online coupons come in many forms. There are ones that can be printed out and taken to a store, and also ones that provide a code to use at the checkout point of a website when you are purchasing something. The theory behind them is good, but very often, these are not genuine, and don't usually provide that much of a discount anyway. There are many websites that contain details of free online coupons, and all you need to do is read through the list provided and pick the one you want. You can either then, print the voucher out and use it, or note down the promotional code they give you and use it at the checkout on line. The thing is, these codes that are provided are used by hundreds of people wanting the same offer as you. Normally, these codes can only be used once, and if you are not the first one to use it, you will not get the offer. The same applies to the vouchers that you need to print out. These may have a promotional code that can only be used once, or may not even be genuine at all. That causes humiliation at the checkout of a store, especially if there is a queue of people behind you, and even more so if you don't have the money to be able to pay for it! The other thing that you will need to bear in mind is that some of these offers need some sort of participation beforehand. You may need to fill in a survey to get the free online coupons, and this can sometimes be very time-consuming and there is no guarantee that you will get the voucher in the end. They are often offered as a prize in competitions, and again, there is no guarantee that you will win after you have participated. Another bad thing about these free online coupons is that they may have a very short amount of time in which they can be used. It may not guarantee that you will get the full product or service at the end as well. You may take the coupon into a store and only get a free sample, which will be very disappointing when you expect a full product, and you will have wasted time and effort as well as traveling time visiting the store for something you may only be able to use once. Occasionally, the offers need you to pay the postage and packaging of the item, and when you receive it, again, it may only be a sample, or not worth what you paid in postage. You always need to remember to read the fine print that accompanies these offers and make sure you are not being scammed in any way. The website itself could be a scam, and often need you to enter details of a personal nature, such as email address, home addresses and suchlike, which can make you at risk of being a victim of identity theft. Be wary, and if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!
